Getting There

There are a number of UK and Turkish airlines with direct flights to Bodrum:

  • easyJet fly to Bodrum from London Gatwick, Stansted and Liverpool

  • TUI fly from Gatwick, Bristol, Birmingham, Doncaster/Sheffield and Manchester

  • Jet2 fly to Bodrum from Manchester, Newcstle, Leeds Bradford, Glasgow and East Midlands

  • Onur Air* fly from a number of UK airports and can be booked via Travel Republic

     * These airlines also offer low season flights

Bodrum / Milas Airport

The airport at Bodrum is smaller and less busy than other Turkish holiday airports such as Dalaman or Izmir.
Happily, this means that an incoming flight is usually not competing for the baggage handlers' attention with other flights and progress through the airport from landing to passing through the exit doors can be as little as 30 minutes.

Please note:
From 10 April 2014, you will no longer be able to buy a Turkish visa "stamp" when you arrive at the airport.  From that date, each person in your party will need to apply for an "e-visa" (including any children included on a parent's passport) from the Turkish Government before travelling.  The e-visa will be e-mailed back to you and you must print it out and show it to the immigration officer as you go through passport control when you arrive in Turkey.  As before, the visa is valid for 180 days from the first day that you enter Turkey; you can spend a maximum of 90 days in Turkey during that time.
The cost of the e-visa is $20 USD; this will be converted to the currency of the credit or debit card that you use at the time that you pay for the e-visa.

There are a number of unauthorised websites that will offer to arrange a Turkish e-visa for you.  These are not affiliated to or endorsed or authorised by the Governement of Turkey and will charge you far more for your e-visa than teh official site.  For more information and to make an application for an e-visa, please visit

If you have arranged a pick-up or car hire (see Getting About)
, you will be met outside the airport terminal.  Alternatively, there are always taxis outside the terminal who will take you to the Villa.

If you do hire a car, there is a dual-carriageway all the way from the airport to Bodrum; turn off for Torba about 5 km before Bodrum.  From airport to villa usually takes around 25 minutes
